How It Works
2. Elect a Fee Structure
Riva offers different ways to pay for our services: sliding scale hourly rates, contingency fee, or flat-rate for simpler matters. Our hourly rates range from $300 to $500 an hour, typically paid in advance in 3-5 hour segments, sort of like a pre-paid calling card.
Riva Law seeks to provide flexible, practical legal services to as many people as possible. In order for the sliding scale model to work, some clients need to pay full price. This allows us to provide legal services to as many people as possible. You can find more information on where you may fall on a sliding scale here.
3. Sign a Retainer
You have only secured our services and entered into an attorney-client relationship once you and the firm have executed (both signed) a retainer agreement. Now we can provide you the legal advice and services you need and want!
